Kieran
About
Kieran is a dedicated educator from Ireland with a passion for helping students excel.
At 16 years old, he started coaching children in checkers, and this sparked his interest in teaching. After earning a scholarship to attend Maynooth University due to his outstanding academic performance, Kieran spent his weekends tutoring students. During his studies, he was a math tutor and teaching assistant, and he led the Maths Society, organizing events and competitions. Kieran then moved to the US to pursue a PhD in Mathematics.
Since moving to the US, he has taught Calculus at Baruch College and helped numerous SAT and ACT students reach their target scores. Kieran loves seeing students achieve that “aha” moment when they grasp complex concepts. In his free time, he enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee.
Noteworthy Accomplishments
- Kieran scored the maximum possible in the Irish standardized examinations.
- While at Baruch, Kieran helped three students who failed calculus the previous semester improve their grades to B’s.
