Brad
About
Brad is an enthusiastic tutor and teacher, originally from South Carolina. He received his bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of South Carolina, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and Palmetto Fellows Scholar. While he was still a student, he worked at the athletic center as a tutor for student-athletes. After graduating, he worked as an English teacher in South Korea, teaching elementary, middle, and high school as well as adult classes.
Brad loves tutoring and is dedicated to finding the right approach for each student he works with. He enjoys exploring different ways of looking at problems and working with students to find new problem-solving methods in math as well as in English. Brad spends a lot of his time reading and playing chess, and enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and exploring new places.
Noteworthy Accomplishments
- Brad scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT.
- Brad took 12 AP classes, earning all 4’s and 5’s, which earned him so much college credit that he technically started (on-paper) as a junior.
Fun Facts
- Brad has lived on two continents and visited over 30 countries.
- Brad’s undergraduate thesis was on Hegelian Master-Slave dialectics in the films of Ingmar Bergman.
